Senior College Information Night - On Tuesday, September 26, at 7:00pm, in the Performing Arts Center, MSDA will be conducting an informal college application and financial aid night for seniors and parents. The purpose of this meeting will be to reaffirm the college application process and to answer any general questions that you may have regarding applications or financial aid. Some of the topics that will be addressed include transcript requests, letters of recommendation, early action/early decision, the FAFSA and CSS Profile for financial aid, releasing SAT scores, scholarships, etc. Mr. Ed Zamora, Principia Prep, will cover the financial aid process and the important items to consider while applying to college.
Wellness - Mrs. Condon spoke to students about setting a daily intention to help keep them focused and more mindful throughout their day.
Students also learned about the science of deep breathing and how to breathe properly for optimum health by practicing box breathing, a technique used by Navy Seals to keep them calm and focused. MSDA used the app Breathwrk.
Throughout the year, the Counseling Department will continue to have conversations to help students process their experiences, learn skills to cope and thrive, and feel supported within our community.
