As we, as individuals and a community, move forward in our lives amidst a new and unfamiliar reality, Amanda Aster-McKenna, Psy.D, licensed Clinical Psychologist, shares free mindfulness resources gathered by the team at the SoHo CBT + Mindfulness Center. With the typical stressors of life being compounded by the new stressors brought on by the impacts of COVID19, finding ways to center ourselves, find calm, and nourish resilience is more important now than ever. 

Meditation Websites:

  • Ten Percent Happier has a “Coronavirus Sanity Guide” with many free meditation recordings.
  • Mindful Magazine has made many resources available for free, including the course, “Find Calm and Nourish Resilience.”
  • Calm, a meditation app with a companion website, is offering a variety of meditations and exercises to help us all calm down. 
  • In partnership with New York’s Governor Cuomo, Headspace has created a special NY collection of meditation, sleep, and movement exercises to support the region through stressful and challenging times.
