Stasia M. Rogacki, MSDA Class of 2010, will be returning to the campus of Mount St. Dominic Academy as the Class of 2022 Commencement Speaker. Stasia, who graduated from the United States Military Academy in West Point in 2014 with Bachelor of Science Degrees in American Legal Studies and French, is a Captain in the United States Army. She is a Special Operations Civil Affairs Governance Officer and currently serves as a Project Officer in the Concepts Development Division of the Maneuver Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate.
Upon graduation from West Point, Stasia was commissioned as a Medical Service Officer and assigned as a platoon leader in Charlie Medical Company, 307th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Company Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. From there, Stasia served as the Medical Operations Officer for the 3rd Squadron, 73rd Calvary Regiment, 1st Brigade Company Team, 82nd Airborne Division. Following her assignment as a Medical Operations Officer, Stasia served as a Detachment Executive Officer for the 274th Forward Surgical Team (Airborne), 28th Combat Support Hospital, 44th Medical Brigade at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. From December 2016 to August 2017, she deployed to Syria in support of a Joint Special Operations Task Force.
In 2019, Stasia graduated from the Civil Affairs Qualification course and was assigned to E Company, 91st Civil Affairs Battalion (Special Operations) (Airborne). She served as the Team Commander for Civil Affairs Team 153, where she deployed to Niamey, Niger in support of Operation Juniper Shield from June 2020 to November 2020. Following her time as a Team Commander, Stasia selected an assignment with the Concepts Development Division (CDD), Maneuver Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate (MCDID) at Fort Benning, Georgia. She is currently serving as a Project Officer within the organization.
Stasia’s military education includes Medical Service Officer Basic Course, Airborne School, Advanced Airborne School Jumpmaster Course, Army Special Operations Forces Captain’s Career Course, Civil Affairs Qualification Course, Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape – Level C (High Risk) (SERE-C) Course, Joint Special Operations Planners Course, and the Tactical Information Operations Planners Course.
Stasia’s awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster. Her other decorations include the Expert Field Medical Badge, Senior Parachutist’s Badge, and Botswana Defense Force Parachutist’s Badge.
Stasia and her husband Brian live in Columbus, Georgia with their dog, Maverick.
The Mount community is excited to welcome Stasia back to campus, and looks forward with great excitement and anticipation to her remarks to the students of the MSDA Class of 2022.
