“Super SHEro Alumna Spotlight” - Cathy Stewart Arcell '76

Cathy Stewart Arcell, MSDA Class of 1976, is a Medical Technologist in the Chemistry Department at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Her group provides physicians with results that aid in the treatment of patients, shifted now to testing the chemistries typically elevated in COVID 19. Cathy’s also testing the swabs, and will soon be doing the antibody test, which she sees as a game changer because it means testing for immunity.

“I have worked at Saint Barnabas for 40 years and have never experienced anything like this. There are shortages of PPE and we are reusing our masks and face shields. I am proud that I am able to do this important work at the end of my career.” We couldn’t be more proud of YOU Cathy! Thank you!
