It is with sadness that Mount St. Dominic Academy shares the news that Sister Jeanne Adrienne Kierce, OP, MSDA Principal from 1969 to 1977, has been called home to God.

Sister Jeanne Adrienne entered the Caldwell Dominicans from St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Jersey City. She earned a bachelor's degree in French from Caldwell University and a master's degree in Modern Languages from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She taught at St. Francis Xavier School in Newark, St. John School in Clark, and Lacordaire Academy before becoming principal of Mount St. Dominic Academy in 1969, a role she held for eight years, after which she became principal of the Link Community School in Newark. Sister Jeanne Adrienne went on to teach at Saint Dominic Academy in Jersey City before becoming Director of Social Services at Marian Manor and serving on the Congregational Leadership Team. After serving on the Council, Sister ministered as librarian at Our Lady of the Lake School in Verona. Sister Jeanne Adrienne was named to the MSDA Hall of Fame in 1998, and celebrated her 70th Jubilee in 2016. Sister Jeanne Adrienne joined with the MSDA Class of 1974 for their 45th reunion in the fall of 2019, just down the hill from the Mount at Forte restaurant in Caldwell. May God Bless Sister Jeanne Adrienne and all who knew and loved her.

Due to current restrictions in response to COVID-19, a Mass in honor of Sister Jeanne Adrienne will be held at a later date.
