Physics Day at Six Flags Great Adventure

Physics Day at Six Flags Great Adventure

Physics Day at Six Flags Great Adventure combined education and fun in one amazing event! Students explored math, science, and physics by observing the mechanics of roller coasters and thrill rides, and also had the opportunity to ride the rides! Inspiring the next generation of scientists, Six Flags helped educators take classrooms to new heights.

The Stem Challenge: Drop of Doom challenged students to design and build a vehicle that safely transported eggs on a 250 foot drop from the ride Parachutes.

The Stem Challenge: Skyway Kinematics allowed students to drop objects off a ride aiming to hit the target on the ground from the moving Dream Street Skyway ride.

The last part of the day engaged students in learning about building roller coasters and careers in engineering from Six Flags Chief Engineer, Larry Chickola.
