MSDA Parents' Association and "The Circle of Life"

This week was not only the first week of school for the faculty and students, but also the Parents’ Association.

At the first virtual PA meeting with guest speaker Ms. Laura Hollenbaugh, almost 70 parents attended online. The goal of parents, faculty, staff and the community working together for the benefit of MSDA and the girls was evident this week. Mr. Sozio observed that many girls took advantage of having their lunch outside and tables would improve that experience. An announcement was made at the Parents’ Association meeting on Tuesday and the Barone family delivered some outdoor tables and chairs. In addition, a quick trip to Home Depot secured picnic tables with a generous discount from the managers at the Montville and Riverdale stores. Mr. Sozio, Trainer Natale, and Facilities Manager Orlando Ortiz quickly donned their tool belts and assembled them to create the “Mount Circle of Life.” The wooden tables were donated from the Parents’ Association.
