MSDA Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month With "Born To Lead" Presentation on 10/7

Celebrating women who lead in the Hispanic community, and embracing the journey to get there.

On Wednesday, October 7 12-1:00pm, join us for a panel discussion with women who have tackled success in multiple industries. Topics will include: how to network, navigating the college admissions process, growing up Hispanic and more! Our panel includes the following speakers:

A graduate of Syracuse University, Isabel Lopez Garrone '01 is a Producer for KPMG Studios, one of the fastest growing Big Four Accounting firms in the United States. In 2011 she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding News Discussion & Analysis for "The Rachel Maddow Show," where she spent six years as a Video Producer for MSNBC.

As an Assistant Principal to one of the newest charter schools in the Bronx, NY, Eliza Catalino recently completed a Masters in School Leadership from Harvard University. She began her journey as a teacher through the Teach for America Program after graduating from Syracuse University in 2012, and continues to inspire her Middle School students with each lesson. 

Reana Garcia represents the State of New Jersey from a case’s onset to its resolution as the Special Deputy Attorney General/ Acting Assistant Prosecutor in Union County. A graduate of University of Massachusetts Amherst and Roger Williams University School of Law, Reana is a member of the New Jersey and New York State Bar Association. 

Heidy Gisell Prado is Candidate of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with an interest in Emergency Medicine. With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University, Heidy is also a Member of Volunteers for Intercultural and Definitive Adventure (VIDA), which provides free basic veterinary assistance to communities in need in St. Kitts.

Ghilianie Soto '08 joined our Board of Trustees this Summer and has continued to drive Diversity and Inclusion efforts at the Mount. Another graduate of Syracuse University, Ghilianie has a degree in Public Relations and has mastered the art of Crisis Communication. With branding experience across multiple industries including Entertainment, Beauty, and Tourism- she has worked with clients from HBO to Peru
