MSDA Arts - shine wherever you find your passion!

MSDA Arts - shine wherever you find your passion!

Performing Arts at the Mount allows our young women to shine wherever they find their passion - acting, singing, dancing, building, painting, working with light and sound, costume work, and beyond.

Throughout the pandemic, we have continued performances developing techniques to be creative together safely, while masked and socially distant.  Thanks to our leadership, Performing Arts has continued our cutting-edge theater education, implementing dual casting, small rehearsals, online streaming, virtual recording studios, and more. While many other schools have not been able to produce live theater, The Mount safely and effectively showed the rest of the world how it's done!

The Mount offers professional mentors to guide our students in performance and design that incorporates a broad variety of classical, contemporary, and modern American theatrical experiences. Double casting has been implemented in our shows, which enables safe rehearsals among smaller groups. While rehearsing two casts can seem daunting, we have combined them into teams so we work smarter, not harder, and can learn from each other in ways we have not done in the past.

The Performing Arts program is more than a place to perform - it is a place to discover your creativity, your talents, and your family. I look forward to welcoming the Class of 2025 this September as they each discover their passions within performing arts, athletics, service opportunities, and beyond!

See you on the stage!
