Justice Day was a great success! Students put together a wonderful event, full of education, information, and service. The day began with prayer and continued with the introduction of the theme: Consumerism. The discussion shared the difference between justice and charity as well as equality and equity and was enhanced by our keynote guest speaker Sister Dusty Farnan, OP, the United Nations Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Dominican Representative. Breakout Sessions included the topics Fast Fashion and Its Ecological Effects and Heavy Consumerism and Its Toll on Workers and Animals. Students also made reusable no-sew tote bags for women in shelters.
