Mount St. Dominic Academy welcomes Mr. James “Jay” MacDonald as our Interim Head of School.
Effective July 1, 2021, Mr. MacDonald will transition into the leadership role previously held by Sister Frances Sullivan, OP '60, who announced her retirement earlier this year after successfully serving as the head of school for 23 years, and previously as a faculty member since 1983.
Mr. MacDonald joins the Mount with classroom, administrative and leadership experience spanning elementary to college level Catholic institutions.
“I am excited to work in collaboration with the MSDA faculty and staff to guide our students on the journey of self-discovery and acquisition of knowledge, while serving as the guardian of the Dominican charism – the foundation of faith that will continue to set the Mount apart for generations to come.”
