MONTVILLE, NJ – Montville Girl Scout Troop 80492 is pleased to announce five of its members have earned scouting’s highest honor, the Girl Scout Gold Award.
Giovanna Angiolini, Toniann Bednarz, Marissa Bordonaro, Jacqueline MacStudy and Rebecca Sherman each created and executed an individual project that reflects their commitment to service and their passion for a broad range of interests including animal welfare, music education, health, driver safety, and the environment.
Jacqueline MacStudy’s project goal was to educate her classmates about the importance of blood donation. Her project “Be Your Own TYPE of Hero” was a blood drive that incorporated her community at Mount St. Dominic Academy. (Read about it here.) MacStudy will attend North Carolina State University as a biology major with plans to become a pediatric oncologist. (Project completion date: August, 2019)
