Hexagonal Thinking in Mr. Rasmusson's US History Class

HEXAGONS ARE BEING USED FOR MORE THAN MATH AT THE MOUNT: Today, Mr. Rasmusson's Honors US History class practiced hexagonal thinking. They used interlocking hexagonal tiles with key terms, lessons, and concepts, as a way of making connections within the content of the class. The activity allowed them to visualize their thinking and see how thematically the history formed over time related to culture. The goal was to get Mount students thinking critically, making novel connections, debating, and providing evidence to support their reasoning. This exercise helped students understand how we became a multiracial/multiethnic society. #WeAreTheMount #Mount1892
