Happy National Girls and Women in Sports Day!

Happy National Girls and Women in Sports Day!

February 3, 2021 marks the 35th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day!

As an All-Girls School, that’s a big deal to us!

This past fall and winter, history was made. On December 12, Sarah Fuller, the Vanderbilt University Kicker, was the first woman to score in a Power 5 Football Game, ever.

In January, both Jenna Schroder and Natalie Sago officiated the Orlando Magic vs. Charlotte Hornets Men’s NBA Game, together!

An upcoming "first" will take place Sunday, February 7 in Tampa Bay. Sara Thomas will be the 1st Woman Official to officiate in a Super Bowl game!

Girls and women have been playing competitive sports for years, but not until recently have we seen these monumental achievements and as an All Girls’ School, we could not be more proud!

In celebration, our state athletic association, the NJSIAA, will honor New Jersey National Girls and Women in Sports Day virtually this year. Congratulations to our Mount-Nominee Senior, Clare Mulhivill '21 for her selection.
