Celebrating Catholic Sisters Week - Spotlight on Sister Lena Picillo, OP

Sister Lena Picillo, OP became a Sister of St. Dominic 43 years ago. She has been an educator in Livingston, Morris Plains, Spring Lake, Caldwell, Verona, and Roseland. She loves “being in a community with my Dominican Sisters and engaging with others in ministry.” Sister Lena joined MSDA as the Campus Minister in 2018 and sees the Mount’s slogan in practice every day as she “experiences the empowerment of these young women.” Serving alongside the students that engage in a wide variety of service, including Habitat for Humanity, Soup Kitchens, Mission Trips, and Camp Sunshine, Sister Lena is proud that “the Mount girls make sacrifices so that others can feel some joy.” #catholicsistersweek #Caritas #Veritas #WeAreTheMount
