Athletics Senior Spotlight - Anya Michalewski '20

Anya is a four year varsity sprinter for the track and field team. Over the past four years, she has established herself as one of the best all-around sprinters in school history. She will be attending University of Pennsylvania in the fall.

FAVORITE MEMORY - “My favorite memories from track are at the beginning of every practice during our dynamic warm up. It's a time when the whole sprints group is together and, while we're getting our work in and preparing for the day's workout, it's a great time for all of us to bond. Every practice's warmup means laughing, telling funny stories, dancing, singing, ranting, joking around, and a ton of other things that really helped the group of us come together, not just as a team, but as close friends. I have so many amazing memories from the 20 to 30 minutes we spent warming up that I will carry with me to college and beyond. Even though sometimes we would end up splitting up for our workouts, this was the time of practice that we were guaranteed to all be together and it will always be the source of some of my favorite track and high school memories and the cause of some of my closest friendships.”
