For the fourth year in a row, MSDA has earned the College Board AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding young women’s access to AP Computer Science Principles for the 2021-2022 school year. This honor acknowledges our school's work to close the gender equity gap in computer science. Research shows that female students who take AP Computer Science are more likely to major in computer science in college compared to female students of similar backgrounds and academic preparation. This helps prepare more young women for the high-paying, in-demand jobs of the future, giving them the opportunity to solve some of society’s greatest problems. Thank you to our AP Computer Science teacher Mrs. Rogacki for contributing to this great achievement. Current students who were part of last year’s class are Amanda Rohde '23, Amanda Hayes ’23, Jouvana Bruno ’23, Alex Jefferson ’23, Isabella Moglia ’23, Lexy Aquirre ’23, Marissa Munoz ’23, Meghan Mohr ’23, and Mia Barone ’23 (not pictured.)
