The Mount is thrilled to announce that Ms. Erin Lee Carr, alumna from the MSDA Class of 2006, will be joining us as the 2023 MSDA Commencement Speaker. A two-time Emmy-nominated filmmaker, Erin's work directing and producing projects for Netflix and HBO spans the past decade. An author in addition to a filmmaker, "All That You Leave Behind: A Memoir," was published by Random House in 2019 to great acclaim. Named a 'Documaker to Watch' by Variety (2015) and one of the most influential people in media by Forbes (2019), Erin was also influential in film during her time at the Mount - as the president and founder of the Film Club in 2003. Talk about finding your fire... the Film Club watched 9,600 minutes of comedy, drama, and classics during Erin's senior year. We can't wait to welcome Erin back to campus!
