The Mount’s Athletic Department includes a full-time, on-site certified athletic trainer, responsible for the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic sports-related injuries and medical conditions. With a primary focus on athletes, the trainer is a resource for all students enrolled at the school.

Nico Natale  joined the Mount family as Athletic Trainer in 2014, after receiving his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Quinnipiac University. He is certified by the National Athletic Training Association, licensed by the state of New Jersey and holds CPR/AED certification.

Natale also teaches Physical Education at the Mount. An integral member of the Athletic Department, faculty and healthcare community, he employs best practices to promote wellness for all students—on and off the field, during and after the school day.

He collaborates with the Mount’s athletic director, coaches,  the school nurse and their collective network of other allied health care professionals and physicians to stay up to date on best practices in sports research and care. Together the Mount's Athletic Department provides individualized attention and support to all our Lady Lions.
