Singing
Share your voice at the Mount in one of our many musical ensembles. Study and perform a range of traditional and contemporary vocal literature in our Concert Choir. Explore more sophisticated arrangements in our select (audition only) Chamber Choir. Lead fellow students in songs of praise for school liturgies as a member of the Lords’ Chords Ensemble or as a cantor. Perform in our very own Doris M. Byrne Performing Arts Center.
Theatre
Play a role in one of our award-winning productions, whether it’s onstage acting or backstage running crew. Each year, our fall drama and spring musical offer opportunities to shine. Work with professionals who provide expertise and mentorship in technical, practical and theoretical aspects of acting, as well as scenic, lighting, sound and costume design.
Dance
Join our jazz or competition teams to explore your passion for dance - or discover a new interest and skill. At our in-school dance studio, you’ll strengthen your technical form while building confidence in yourself and inspiring it in your teammates. Channel your creativity by choreographing original routines and showcase your talent, from annual school concerts and events to local and state competitions.
Forensics
Develop your skills in public speaking by joining our Forensics team. Compete in Drama, Oral Interp, Duo Interp, Debate, Student Congress, Declamation, Original Oratory and Extemporaneous Speaking. The Mount is a member of the Newark Catholic Forensics League.
