Concentrations Programs
The Concentration Programs, which incorporate a two-year sequence of courses, allow students to focus academic and community service efforts in a specific area of interest, similar to a minor or concentration in college.
Health Sciences Concentration Program
This two-year concentration program is specifically for students interested in pursuing careers in medical-related fields. Each student who elects to pursue this concentration is required to complete a series of intellectual pursuits, commit to and complete a specified number of service hours each year of the program, and participate in a senior seminar focused on public health. The following are the requirements for the Health Sciences Concentration.
Each student who chooses a concentration area is required to:
- complete a series of intellectual pursuits
- commit to and complete a specified number of service hours each year of the program
- participate in a senior seminar
- experiential opportunities may include but are not limited to hosting guest speakers, attending conferences, and field trips to relevant institutions and organizations
Social Justice Concentration Program
This two-year concentration program is exploring careers in service-oriented fields, such as working with non-profit organizations or participating in advocacy work. Each student who elects to pursue this concentration is required to complete a series of intellectual pursuits, commit to and complete a specified number of service hours each year of the program, and participate in a senior seminar focused on global studies. The following are the requirements for the Social Justice Concentration.
