Endorsement Programs
The Endorsement programs, which incorporate a two-year sequence of courses, permit students interested in careers in health sciences and social justice to pursue in-depth explorations of those areas, similar to a major in college.
Health Sciences Endorsement Program
This two-year endorsement program is specifically for students interested in pursuing careers in medical-related fields. Each student who elects to pursue this endorsement is required to complete a series of intellectual pursuits, commit to and complete a specified number of service hours each year of the program, and participate in a senior seminar focused on public health. Social Justice Endorsement Program
This two-year endorsement program is specifically for students interested in pursuing careers in service-oriented fields, such as working with nonprofit organizations or participating in advocacy work. Each student who elects to pursue this endorsement is required to complete a series of intellectual pursuits, commit to and complete a specified number of service hours each year of the program, and participate in a senior seminar focused on global studies.The following are the requirements for the Social Justice Endorsement:
Courses
Global Historical Perspectives including AP World History and Holocaust and Genocide Studies classes
Statistics including AP Statistics, Statistics, and Economics classes
Foreign Language minimum of three years of the same language
Research and Outreach classes including Senior Capstone, Journalism and Digital Media, or Photography
Senior Seminar: Global Studies
