The Mount’s Last Supper
Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper is one of the most admired, studied, and reproduced paintings. He worked on it from 1495-1498 and the original measures 15.1 ft. x 29 ft. Here at The Mount, Mrs. Cochran’s art students and and Art Club decided to take on the task of reproducing this famous work of art for the Spring Arts Festival. Ours measures 8 ft. x 20 ft. and took about six months to complete in between fall and spring productions, AP reviews, and AP exams – but we did it!
It was an amazing project to work on collaboratively which is what the students and faculty enjoyed the most. It was funny to hear students instruct teachers how to mix specific colors and blend. It was truly a team effort!
