MSDA Operation Smile Club – “Smile Day” 4/8
Operation Smile is a nonprofit organization that raises money & hosts service projects to support children who are in need of cleft lip or cleft palate surgery, but cannot afford it. The MSDA Operation Smile Club supports the organization in any way possible. “Smile Day” will take place on Monday 4/8 during homeroom in which every student will be making a sock puppet. The idea behind these sock puppets is to help children learn how to speak after their surgeries are completed. The sock puppets will be sent to Operation Smile and will be used by speech pathologists on their mission trips to other countries. All students should bring (1) thick, long sock & the additional materials for the puppet will be provided. This project has a much larger effect on hundreds of children around the world and the club members thank you for being a part of it.
Stay tuned to see the puppet making day!
