Guidance Department OverviewThe Guidance Program at Mount Saint Dominic Academy Constitutes and integral part of the educational program at Mount Saint Dominic Academy. Guidance services focus on assisting each student’s personal and academic development so that she will be prepared to make mature and responsible choices about her future. Our counselors facilitate our students’ transition to high school, and assist the students with their academic and social concerns throughout their career at the Mount. We prepare them to make appropriate choices for career and college ambitions. The following services are offered: · · Group guidance classes for juniors and seniors to prepare for the college search and admission process· Standardized testing administration and interpretation· Conferences between parents and teachers when needed· Referrals for serious adolescent problems· Parental informational sessions on topics pertaining to adolescent behavior, college financial aid, etc. |
