Area track athletes, including runners, throwers, and jumpers at Mount St. Dominic Academy, competed in the Essex County Track Championships on Friday, May 18, and Saturday, May 19, in Montclair.

Medals and Personal Best Records

Mount St. Dominic’s Katie Onello took third place in the 1600m in 5:22, which was a personal record.Holly Ruvo (13.21) and Anya Michalewski (13.40) also had personal records in the 100m dash.

Sam Diaz recorded a personal-best 78-8 in the discus, as did Molly Burke (75-0) and Maura Mulvihill (68-2).

Julia Acevedo got personal bests in the 100m hurdles (18.91) and long jump (15-8.5) to place 15th. Alyssa Mastando also recorded a personal-best 14-3 in the long jump.
