The arts enrich and add texture to our lives. We encourage our students to develop their artistic talents by participating in the visual and performing arts activities we offer. We recognize the following students for their achievements in the arts:

 At the Music in the Parks competition held at Hershey Park, PA in May 2009 our choral music performers won a number of awards:

• Our jazz choral ensemble, the Blue Notes, won 1st Place- Jazz Swing Choir with a Superior rating 
• Our larger choir, Belles Voix, was recognized as Outstanding Overall High School Choir and won 1st place for Women's Choir with a Superior rating
• 4Now won 2nd place for Jazz Choir with a Superior rating

Congratulations to Becky Manappuram '09 for winning the State and National finals in the Boogie Woogie Indian Dance competition. Becky travels to London this summer to compete internationally.

Congratulations to Anne Mescall '09 who was a First Place Award winner in the Caldwell College Annual Teen Arts Jam 2009! Her contour drawing earned her an award of $1000 toward full time Caldwell College tuition should she enroll. Should Anne choose to submit a portfolio, she will be eligible for an art scholarship award of up to $10,000. The Mount is one of 19 high schools to participate in this annual Teen Jam exhibition at the Visceglia Gallery.
