Why an Annual Fund

Even as the cost of educating our students continues to rise, we strive to keep tuition costs manageable.  In fact, our tuition rate is thousands of dollars less than the actual cost of educating a student—particularly because we are dedicated to keeping class sizes small. But as the gap between tuition and operating expenses broadens, maintaining this practice becomes more challenging and we must increasingly rely on outside support to sustain us.  Since the Mount does not receive financial support from the Archdiocese or a parish, we truly count on your gifts to help maintain the everyday essentials.

Where it Goes

Mount St. Dominic’s Annual Fund is our primary fundraising  effort for supporting the day-to-day operation of the school.  Each gift helps us to fund teacher’s  salaries, technology upgrades, research materials and other equipment and the  upkeep of our buildings.  We also use  annual fund gifts to help offset tuition costs for needy students.  In fact, this year alone, we have awarded  $300,000 in financial aid to students.

Your gift to the annual fund can be directed towards one of  several areas of fund distribution including:

Every member of the Mount St. Dominic Academy family is  invited to make a gift to our Annual Fund. We welcome and appreciate gifts of  all sizes and ask that you make a gift at a level that is comfortable for you.  Our goal is to reach 100 percent participation from all of our alumnae.  Every gift counts since each gift,  regardless of size, improves our overall participation rate.
