School Transportation Reimbursement
With the exception of those school districts listed below, most other area school districts provide transportation reimbursement for those students attending private schools. This reimbursement is limited to students who live at least 2.5 miles but not more than 20 miles from the school. The amount is determined by law; this past school year it was $884. You will receive this payment from your local board of education. Note that this money is available whether a student uses a private bus service, takes public transportation or is driven to school. In certain circumstances, your local board of education reserves the right to provide transportation in lieu of financial reimbursement.
