MSDA *NEW* Innovation Center
And we’re off! Summer may be here but the Mount never stops. Stay tuned throughout the summer as we share the progress on the development of our new Innovation Center!
Creativity, collaboration, and innovation
This new, open-concept space will be the center for creativity, collaboration, and innovation. A generous grant from the Byrne Family Foundation will remodel the classroom and will be home to our Robotics course and many of the projects happening in our STEAM courses.
Endless possibilities for exploration
The MSDA Innovation Center will assist in fostering creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and ethical responsibility. Additional courses will include computer programming classes and our freshmen 21st Century Technology course focused on coding and digital citizenship. The Mount looks forward to the endless possibilities for exploration for our students. Along with last summer’s remodel of the Doris M. Byrne Fine Arts Center, the new Innovation Center will assist our faculty in their creation of meaningful learning experiences that intersect science, mathematics, and the arts.
