If you are a young woman who thrives on challenge, who has a good academic record, who demands the best from yourself and everyone around you, the Mount invites you to apply for admission.

Instructions for students who will enter in the ninth grade:

      1. Complete the application (Click here to download our brochure and application) and return with a check in the amount of $40 to the Admission Office no later than December 15. No student will be considered for admission who has not returned a completed application.  This application is in addition to the COOP application. (Click here to apply for the coop online) .

     2. All incoming Freshmen should arrange to take the Newark and Paterson Archdiocese Entrance Exam, also known as the COOP Exam. Indicate that Mount Saint Dominic Academy is one of your three choices. This will ensure the forwarding of your test scores to the Mount in December. The date for the Newark or Paterson Exam is November 9, 2007. The most efficient way for you to register for this test is online. You may  register online at www.coopexam.org  starting September 1, 2007. You must register for this test by October 20, 2007.  The COOP e-mail assistance address is support@coopexam.org.  The COOP hotline number is 1-888-921-2667 or 1-888-921-COOP. If you miss this deadline, please call 973-226-0660 ext.22 immediately.

     3.  Request the release of your school records (class grades and standardized testing) from your present school after completion of the first marking period in Grade 8.

     4. Take advantage of opportunities for scholarship and financial aid listed below if desired.

SCHOLARSHIP
Plan to take our Siena Scholarship Exam (Click here to download the registration form)
. The test itself is given on December 9, 2007, but the registration form and payment must be received no later than December 7, 2007..   A  Pre-registration form plus a $45 fee is required. The Siena Scholarship is a full, four-year tuition scholarship awarded on the basis of academic excellence, not financial need. This  scholarship is presented to the young woman who excels in both the exam and in her interview with the Scholarship Committee. Yearly renewal of this award is based on  performance. Only incoming Freshmen are eligible for this prestigious award.

FINANCIAL AID
There is a limited amount of financial aid available ( maximum $5,000 awarded per student ). It is based upon financial need. It must be applied for no later than December 15, 2007. This is a strict deadline. (Click here to download the application form). Absolutely no exceptions are made.

The above options are the only opportunities students have for monetary assistance that are sponsored by Mount Saint Dominic Academy. Please note their strict deadlines. Absolutely no exceptions are made for alternate test dates or time extensions. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED AN ACCEPTANCE LETTER BEFORE CONSIDERING SCHOLARSHIP AND/OR FINANCIAL AID. ALL MONIES WILL HAVE BEEN DISPERSED BY THAT TIME!

Candidates for admission will be notified by mail in January, 2008.
