Click Here for the Freshman For a Day Program! I f you are a young woman who thrives on challenge, who has a good academic record, who demands the best from yourself and everyone around you, the Mount invites you to apply for admission.
Instructions for students who will enter in the ninth grade: 1. Complete the application (Click here to download our brochure and application) and return with a check in the amount of $40 to the Admission Office no later than December 15. No student will be considered for admission who has not returned a completed application. This application is in addition to the COOP application. (Click here to apply for the coop online) . 2. All incoming Freshmen should arrange to take the Newark and Paterson Archdiocese Entrance Exam, also known as the COOP Exam. Indicate that Mount Saint Dominic Academy is one of your three choices. This will ensure the forwarding of your test scores to the Mount in December. The date for the Newark or Paterson Exam is November 9, 2007. The most efficient way for you to register for this test is online. You may register online at www.coopexam.org starting September 1, 2007. You must register for this test by October 20, 2007. The COOP e-mail assistance address is support@coopexam.org. The COOP hotline number is 1-888-921-2667 or 1-888-921-COOP. If you miss this deadline, please call 973-226-0660 ext.22 immediately. 3. Request the release of your school records (class grades and standardized testing) from your present school after completion of the first marking period in Grade 8. 4.
Take advantage of opportunities for scholarship and financial aid listed below if desired. FINANCIAL AID The above options are the only opportunities students have for monetary assistance that are sponsored by Mount Saint Dominic Academy. Please note their strict deadlines. Absolutely no exceptions are made for alternate test dates or time extensions. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED AN ACCEPTANCE LETTER BEFORE CONSIDERING SCHOLARSHIP AND/OR FINANCIAL AID. ALL MONIES WILL HAVE BEEN DISPERSED BY THAT TIME!Candidates for
admission will be notified by mail in January, 2008. Questions? admission@msdacademy.orgInstructions for transfer students: 1. Complete the application. Call 973-226-0660 ext. 22 to receive one. 2. Request the release of your school records from grade 7 to the present (class grades and standardized testing) from your current/former schools. Send this information in along with your application and application fee. 3. Transfer students are only admitted at the beginning of a semester. It is more than likely that the transfer candidate and her parents will be asked to come in for an interview. Processing of a transfer application takes at least two weeks. Please allow for this time. 4. There are no scholarships available for transfer students. Financial Aid is not available for the first year that a transfer student attends the Mount. Financial Aid may be applied for in subsequent years. 4. Transfer students are admitted pending available space in a given class year. Students are invited to apply if they will be enrolling in grades nine through eleven. Mount Saint Dominic Academy does not accept applications for students entering the twelfth grade.
Mount Saint Dominic Academy is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The Mount also holds membership in the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools.
